FIT TESTS FOR HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS

It’s important that a respirator should fit tightly and provide a seal on the wearer’s face. It’s crucial to regularly perform fit testing. SAFETY FIRST! offers respirator training and fit testing for: N95; negative pressure, half-mask and negative pressure, full-mask respirators.

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE FIT TESTING

There are two types of respirator fit testing: qualitative and quantitative. A qualitative fit test (QLFT) relies on a user’s senses (such as taste and smell), while a quantitative fit test (QNFT) measures leakage from the facemask using a special instrument.

It’s important to take health and safety seriously, particularly if you’re dealing with hazardous materials. Contact SAFETY FIRST! for respirator training and fit testing today.
